A luxury care home boasting a cinema and a hair salon is set to open in Southampton.
Work is now underway on the new Care UK home in Banister Road.
The multi-million-pound facility will provide residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for up to 80 older people.
A total of 97 jobs will also be created.

“This thoughtfully planned new home will live up to these standards, providing a high-quality home for older people in Southampton and surrounding areas."

The home - which is expected to welcome the first residents in December 2025 - will include a cinema, café, and hair salon.
A secure and wheelchair-friendly landscaped outdoor space will include sensory gardens, water features and seating.
Neil Carter, managing director at Carter Lauren Construction Limited, said: “Construction is off to a great start and we’re on track to complete the work by December 2025.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Care UK on their brand-new Southampton care home, bringing our expertise as a developer to the project.
“We’re already looking forward to reaching our next milestone in the coming months.”
